2018 Hopevale Collaboration

In early 2018, Indigenous artists from the Hopevale Arts and Cultural Centre provided a team of fifteen QUT students with beautiful textiles and two opportunities to create collections for the Commonwealth Games Festival Intertwined showcase and the Cairns Indigenous Art Festival (CIAF) fashion showcase. The FFC team designed and constructed a collection of garments and accessories, as well as brand and market identities for the FFC project and Hopevale’s Textile & Fashion branch with guidance from project supervisors and industry professionals.
